Hi, my name is Brielle. I help women sing over the bones of their life and their dreams through storytelling, writing, and transformative coaching.

I am a writer, a poet, a scholar of myth, a guide, though more than anything I consider myself a vessel. When I coach I am in a mode of deep listening that allows spirit to come through and guide the room. And when I write or tell stories I am opening myself to the invisible world and giving words to describe what I see.

I believe in the power of the imagination to help heal what is hungry or hurting in us, so I rely heavily on archetypal images and stories in my group work to heal what can’t be healed in one-on-one work alone. I also believe in the regenerative power of creativity and telling one’s story, so I offer writing salons as a pathway for our creative becoming. Women’s wombs or womb-spaces carry so much — pain, wisdom, life — so when I work with women in one-on-one and group work, when they are ready I like to guide them into relationship with their wombs as instruments of healing, knowing, and creativity.

Professional Bio

Brielle Elise, M.A. is a scholar of myth, writer, poet, storyteller, Gateless writing teacher, and a certified transformative coach for women in private practice for 8 years. Her work and writing revolves around re-membering the regenerative/feminine principle in modern women’s lives and collective culture. Her research has included the shamanic power of the imagination, the deep feminine as an ensouled language and way of being, pre-patriarchal histories, and recovering women’s old ways of knowing.

Through a combination of practical, spiritual and creative coaching, Brielle helps women to slow down and lean into the deep feminine current, birthing their creative gifts into the world through the Taoist practice of wei-wu-wei, or ‘doing-without-doing’.

She writes on her Substack ‘Waking the Well’, an archive of her poetry, research and writing on myths and pre-patriarchal histories in the aim of reviving old ways of knowing and relating with the other-than-human world. Through Gateless writing salons, Brielle helps writers to drop beneath conditioned, critical mind into their interior well so they can free their creative potential and bear witness to the power and potency of their authentic voice.

The aspiration of all of her work, from coaching to research to writing salons, is to heal the ‘crisis of Spirit’, quoting Sufi theologian Henry Corbin, afflicting collective culture by reweaving moderns back into communion with the Unseen world.

In 2021 she completed postgraduate study in the ‘Poetics of Imagination’ at Dartington Arts School where she wrote her dissertation under the supervision of mythologist Dr. Martin Shaw on reviving the deep feminine in collective culture through the language of imagination. 

She is a life-long resident of the deep south of Turtle Island, living among the cypress knees, Spanish moss, and dark rivers of Timucuan and Seminole lands known as North Florida.
